Manhattan fire crews do not know what sparked a car fire in a garage Sunday evening.

The department says firefighters were called to 2300 Vineyard Circle just before 6:30 p.m.

They found a vehicle on fire inside the garage of a two story house.

Within ten minutes they extinguished the vehicle fire but it had spread to the garage.

The only person at home was able to evacuate without injury.

The fire caused over $31,000 in damage.
