Authorities in Kansas City, KS, say a woman has died after her vehicle flew 80 feet through the air and she was ejected Wednesday morning.

The crash happened just before 7:40 a.m. in the 1400 block of N Third Street.

Police say a four-door Honda was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

Officers say the vehicle was driving north when it left the road. They say the vehicle traveled 80 feet in the air and the woman was ejected from it, landing in a nearby creek.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have closed Third Street in the area. They say it will remain closed for multiple hours.
