Hazmat crews on scene of injury accident at 175th and Lackman

KMBC – July 17, 2018

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and other first-responders spent Monday afternoon on the scene of an injury accident at 175th Street and Lackman Road in south Overland Park, Kansas, that required hazmat cleanup.

The Sheriff’s Office said it first received the call at 11:26 a.m., and when they arrived they found a pickup truck and a semi-dump truck had collided.

One driver was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries, and the other driver was not injured.

Hazmat crews spent most of the afternoon working on cleaning up pool chemicals that leaked during the collision.
