2 injuries in house explosion southeast of Mulvane

Authorities are on the scene of a house explosion southeast of Mulvane. It happened around 8:40 a.m. in the 1200 block of North Geuda Springs Road.

Two maintenance workers were critically injured and transported to Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita with burns.

Officials said the home was completely leveled. Right now, fire crews are still fighting a fire in the basement.

Crews from Mulvane, Rose Hill, Derby, Wichita, Sumner and Cowley fire all responded. The state fire marshal is being called to investigate. Authorities are looking at propane as the possible cause of the explosion.
