Shed fire knocked down in west Wichita

KWCH – June 18, 2018

Sedgwick County firefighters are investigating the cause of a shed fire near 151st and Pawnee in west Wichita.

When crews arrived on scene, they found a 100 ft x 30 ft wide shed engulfed in flames.

The shed held various farm equipment inside along with trucks, tires, and three tanks of fuel.

Fire crews worked quickly to get the fire knocked down but had taken several breaks because of the heat.

No injuries were reported as of Saturday afternoon.

Investigators say it will be hard to determine the cause of the fire due to extensive burning on the building.
