No one harmed during early morning blaze Monday

Pittsburg Morning Sun – June 13, 2018

A fully involved structure fire left an unoccupied home uninhabitable.

The City of Pittsburg Fire Department responded to a structure fire at approximately 2:19 a.m. on Monday at 419 E. 10th Street.

According to a release, while fire crews were en route, they received notification that the Pittsburg Police Department was already at the scene and the structure was fully involved.

Once the fire crews arrived they fought the blaze for several hours until it was extinguished, the release said.

The house was determined to be unoccupied and no injuries have been reported.
The city officials said the house has sustained “irreparable damage.”

The fire department and the Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office are still investigating the cause of the fire at this time.
