Notification of LODD: Firefighter Jason Garrett

It is with great sadness that we announce the Line of Duty Death of Kansas City Kansas Firefighter Jason Garrett. Firefighter Garrett passed early this morning (12/26/2017) while on duty at Fire Station 19. EMS 19 was dispatched on a 911 call and when he did not report to the EMS Unit his crew went and found that he had passed away in his bunk.
Arrangements and services will be forthcoming and you will all be notified as soon as arrangements are made.
Again, this is a difficult time for all of us, but, as a department and a family we will get through this difficult time.

John P. Peterson
Sr. Deputy Chief

James M. Zeeb
Assistant Chief
