Multiple fire crews were on the scene early Tuesday morning in Pottawatomie County for a house fire.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office reports when crews arrived at the scene just before 4:00 a.m. the house located between St. George and Wamego on Stewart Farm Rd. was fully engulfed in flames.

Crews fought the wind driven flames with sub-zero wind chills and falling snow through most of the morning.

Five people were reported to be in the house but only four have been accounted for at this time. None of the four are reported to have injuries.

The house is reported to be a complete loss.

The fire is currently under investigation by the Kansas Fire Marshal.

KSNT News has a crew on the scene and will update this story when new details become available.

The St. George Fire Department, Wamego Fire Department, Blue Township Fire Department, the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office, Red Cross, St. Marys Fire Department, Belvue Fire Department, and the Lousville Fire Department all assisted at the scene.
