Carl D. Cooper

Carl Cooper, 59, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at his home in Minneola.

He was born November 1, 1957 at Wichita, the son of Raymond Dale and Melva Jean (Conley) Cooper. A Minneola resident for the past 36 years, moving from Dodge City, he worked for the Clark County Road and Bridge Department.

He was a volunteer fire fighter for the Minneola Fire Department and enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Survivors include: his son, Ryan and wife Nichole, Guam; 2 brothers, Terry Cooper, Greeley, Colorado and Fred Miller and wife Jackie, Lake Havasu City, Arizona; his sister, Sherry Herrera, Dodge City; and 3 grandchildren, Sydney, Carlee and James Cooper.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Danny Miller.

A gathering of family and friends will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Minneola Fire Department. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Minneola Fire Department in care of Minnis Mortuary, P.O. Box 459, Minneola, Kansas 67865.
