Man dies in head-on collision

KWCH – July 10, 2017

Kansas Highway Patrol says a man died after crossing the median and striking another vehicle in Kansas City, Kansas.

Kansas troopers were called to the accident on K-32 around 1:30 p.m. Friday.

KHP says James Roden, 58, was driving in the eastbound lanes when his vehicle crossed the median into the westbound lanes and struck a pick-up truck.

Gerald Walker, 66, was in the pick-up and was seriously injured in the accident. He was taken to a Kansas City hospital.

KHP says both Roden and Walker were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
