One person was killed and seven others injured in an accident involving a bull in southwest Kansas.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says a Dodge Journey driven by 66-year-old Alma Bencomo collided with a bull in the west bound lanes of US 400 east of Dodge City late Saturday night.

The vehicle went over the center line and collided with a Mercedes SUV, driven Tony Thirakul.

Bencomo died at the scene and a 7-year-old girl was airlifted to Wesley Medical Center, where she remains in critical condition.

The rest were treated at Western Plains Regional Hospital.
