The local Stubble Ducks Chapter of Pheasants Forever were well represented and happy to present the Lane County and Ness County Fire Departments with a $3,000 donation to each department.

During their annual banquet held on March 25th, the auction of a Henry “Golden Boy” Fireman’s Edition .22 rifle brought in the bulk of the donation at $5,000. Sage Davis, Scott City Auctioneer, added $500 to the pot by forgoing his auction fees and Stubble Ducks topped it off with $500.

Several fire personnel from Lane County are also members of the Stubble Ducks and representing the Ness County Fire Department and accepting the gift was Darwin Whipple.
