A Dexter firefighter sprays water on a grass fire along U.S. Highway 160 east of Burden on Tuesday afternoon. Units from the Atlanta, Burden, Cambridge and Dexter fire departments responded. The fire burned land on both sides of the highway. At around 2:30 p.m. the fire was out and firefighters were performing maintenance to guard against flare-ups, according to Burden police chief Jeff Hunt, who was directing traffic on the highway. High winds Tuesday led to an increased risk of grass fires.
