Local residents came out in support of the Hiawatha Fire Department for its annual Pancake Feed on March 29.
The Hiawatha Fire Department would like to thank everyone who came to eat at their annual pancake feed.
“The turnout and support from the community was greatly appreciated,” said Fire Chief Gary Shear. “Thank you again.”
The HFD wanted to apologize for those who did not receive any biscuits and gravy due to the increased turnout of people, much more than previous years to support the fire department.
Money raised from the annual pancake feed will go toward purchasing equipment, such as hand tools, pike poles and equipment to put on Unit 1.
