Several grass fires reported Tuesday

On Tuesday Lyon County Deputies and area fire departments responded to multiple grass fires.

The list is as follows:

12 p.m. – Road 260 and Road M (trees on fire)

12 p.m. – 1800 Road F (controlled burn out of control)

2 p.m. – I-35 milepost 142 (rekindled controlled burn)

2:15 p.m. – Road 175 and Road X (controlled burn out of control shortly after it was set)

2:15 p.m. – Road 280 and Road V (tree on fire)

4 p.m. – 2600 block of Road L (controlled burn out of control)

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reminds the public to remember to keep the weather conditions in mind when lighting a grass fire and always have plenty of help there to contain the fire.
