Many fires reported in Washington County

Clay Center Dispatch – April 3, 2014

The Washington County Sheriff’s Department reported last week:

On March 25, the Morrowville Fire Department was dispatched to Coleman Township Section 12 for an out of control, control burn.

On March 26, the Haddam, Morrowville, Mahaska and Washington fire departments were dispatched to Union Township for a control burn that got out of control.

On March 26, the Haddam, Mashaska, Morrowville and Washington Fire departments were dispatched to Mill Creek Township for a control burn that got out of control.

On March 26, the Haddam, Morrowville & Washington Fire departments assisted Fairbury Neb. Fire Department on a grass fire in Nebraska.

On March 28, the Hanover Fire Department was dispatched to the Hanover Hospital to assist with the landing of Life Star.

On March 29, the Hanover, Hollenberg and Washington Fire departments were dispatched to 19th and Wagon Train Roads for a control burn that got out of control.

On March 29, the Barnes Fire Department was dispatched to Little Blue Township for a control burn that got out of control.

On March 30, the Washington Fire Department was dispatched to 1668 National Road for a control burn that had started back up.

On March 30, the Haddam Fire Department was dispatched to Mill Creek Township Section 26 for a fire.

On March 30, the Barnes Fire Department was dispatched to 14th and Cross Creek Road for a fire.

On March 30, the Hanover Fire Department was dispatched to Yankee and Hanover Avenue for a tree fire.

On March 30, the Barnes Fire Department was dispatched to 7th and All American Roads for a fire.

On March 31, the Barnes and Greenleaf Fire Departments were dispatched to 7th and All American Roads for a fire.
