franklin co fire 412014

A tin shed and Chevrolet pickup truck sit in a smoldering pile Wednesday afternoon at 4151 Rock Creek Road, about two miles west of Rantoul. Firefighters with the Cutler and Lincoln-Ottawa-Harrison fire departments, as well as Franklin County Emergency Medical Services personnel and Franklin County Sheriff’s Office deputies, responded to the scene after the shed caught fire shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday, Joe Sutton, with the Cutler Fire Department, said. The cause of the fire was unknown Wednesday afternoon, and it was not immediately known if the property owner had insurance on the shed or the truck, Sutton said. No one was home at the time of the fire, Sutton said, and no one was injured. The truck was inside the shed at the time of the blaze.
