Job Opening – Assistant Rural Fire Chief and Emergency Management Assistant – Geary County

Geary County is recruiting for the position of Assistant Rural Fire Chief and Emergency Management Assistant. This is a key position with primary duties involved in the management and operation of the centralized volunteer rural fire department within Geary County.

We are looking for someone with firefighting experience and lead-worker/supervisory experience. The successful candidate must have good interpersonal skills that translate well to public speaking, recruitment and training of volunteers and into maintaining successful communication and cooperation with supervisor, coworkers, other county departments and the general public.
