Death Notice – Lt. Ryan Brooks

Memorial Service to Celebrate Ryan’s Life

January 4th, 2012 at 4:00 pm
Osage City Community Center 517 S 1st Street Osage City, KS 66523

A private inurnment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ryan M. Brooks Children Educational Fund and may be sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City, Kansas 66523.

Ryan served on the Osage County Fire District #2 Fire Department as a lieutenant. Ryan is very much missed by our fire department but will never be forgotten.

Ryan’s grandfather (Bill Brooks) served on the Emporia Fire Department for 29 years before retiring in 1979 and his cousin (Bruce Hartig) is currently a Captain on the Olathe Fire Department and Asst. Fire Chief at Paola Fire Department.

Ryan fought a short and hard battle against leukemia and showed us all what strength and courage was all about. If you have not read Ryan’s Journal, please do so here.
